Role
Staff Product Designer on Google’s Trust UX / Core team responsible for envisioning and delivering interaction designs, interface mockups, and prototypes that scale across Google products. The role focuses on designing intuitive, accessible experiences—particularly in AI, personalization, and age-assurance domains—while collaborating closely with researchers, engineers, product managers, and data science teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead forward-looking projects focused on high-value opportunities in AI, personalization, and age-assurance.
- Partner with user researchers and data science teams to design and execute scaled studies and experiments.
- Build frontier personalization experiences with cross-functional teams.
- Create user flows, wireframes, UI mockups, and animated prototypes.
- Influence executives and stakeholders through clear, opinionated design goals and polished presentations.
- Drive adoption of canonical, user-centered solutions by aligning multiple partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Portfolio, website, or other relevant work samples included with application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency designing and prototyping in Figma (auto-layout, variables, component libraries, animated prototypes).
- Experience with advanced prototyping tools such as Origami, Protopie, Rive, or Online IDEs.
- Experience creating 0→1 products or features and rapid prototyping workflows.
- Ability to embrace vibe coding for rapid prototyping and to produce realistic simulations using videos/GIFs.
- Strong collaboration with researchers, engineers, and product managers; ability to advocate for users.
Location & Compensation
- Preferred working locations: New York, NY, USA or Sunnyvale, CA, USA.
- US base salary range: $178,000 - $265,000 (base only; additional bonus, equity, and benefits apply).
