Role
Staff Software Engineer (Director equivalent) responsible for leading the design and implementation of scalable software solutions for the International Card Acquisitions team. The role drives platform integration, technical mentorship, architecture decisions, and optimization of development processes to deliver reliable, high‑traffic, customer‑centric systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of enterprise-grade, scalable full‑stack solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and conduct design reviews.
- Oversee platform integration, maintenance, and cross‑team collaboration.
- Optimize development processes for quality, reliability, and performance.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to support production systems.
- Design and run customer‑centric testing and analytics for high‑traffic experiences.
Requirements
- 12+ years of engineering and/or architecture experience in complex environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- In‑depth full‑stack experience with mobile‑first web applications powered by ReactJS, NodeJS, and Java (mandatory).
- Strong background in system and platform architecture, integration across Agile product teams.
- Experience with marketing technologies using first‑ and third‑party data.
- Familiarity with experimentation and customer‑centric testing frameworks for high‑traffic sites.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack for observability.
- Pega knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience managing AI-assisted coding tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude).
