Staff UX Designer, Developer UX

Role

Lead the design for AI-integrated developer tools that transform the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Partner with product and engineering leadership to define and deliver developer experiences that remove friction and accelerate developer velocity.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the design vision for AI-enabled developer tooling and experiences.
• Rapidly visualize, prototype, test, and iterate on novel AI interactions using high-fidelity prototypes and vibe coding.
• Translate complex technical problems into intuitive, accessible user experiences for a broad range of developer skill levels.
• Act as a connector across UX and developer organizations, using storytelling and clear communication to build consensus and drive cross-functional impact.
• Validate hypotheses quickly, seek to disprove ideas early, and prioritize high-value, resilient solutions.

Requirements

Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience with rapid prototyping.
• Experience with AI platforms.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience in product design or UX.
• 5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.

Compensation & Location

• US base salary range (full-time): $178,000 - $265,000 (base only). Total compensation may include bonus, equity, and benefits.
• Preferred work locations: San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.
