Role
Staff Experience Researcher responsible for designing and executing mixed-methods research to understand employee and customer support experiences and inform product and design decisions. The role emphasizes combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, partnering with Data Science, and scaling research practices using AI and rapid prototyping.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and run end-to-end custom research studies using qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Conduct in-depth interviews, usability testing, and concept testing to identify pain points and opportunities.
- Design, implement, and analyze surveys using statistical methods to identify patterns and trends.
- Partner with Data Science and analytics teams to integrate behavioral analytics with attitudinal research.
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership, product, design, and engineering.
- Advocate for user-centered thinking and research best practices across cross-functional teams.
- Manage and prioritize research plans in fast-changing environments, balancing rigor and speed.
- Recommend and implement improvements to UXR workflows and tools; scale research and advance AI usage in research processes.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of UX or experience research in product, technology, or organizational settings.
- Master’s degree or PhD in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Communication, Information Science, or related social science.
- Deep expertise in qualitative methods: interviews, usability testing, observational synthesis.
- Strong quantitative skills with experience designing and analyzing surveys (e.g., regression analysis, ANOVA, t-tests).
- Proven experience collaborating with Data Science to combine behavioral and attitudinal data.
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end research projects, methodological rigor, and measurable impact.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence decisions at all levels.
- Experience working in scrappy environments and leveraging AI-driven approaches for recruiting, analysis, and synthesis.
- Experience enabling stakeholders to run lightweight research and creating research frameworks and templates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience researching employee and customer support experiences or workplace tools.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as R, SPSS, or Python.
- Track record of driving strategic decisions through research in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Experience drafting PRDs based on research findings.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $197,965 - $244,545; role eligible for a target bonus.
