Role
As a Strategy and Business Modeler (SBMer) you will design and build custom business simulations that form the foundation of BTS learning experiences. You will work with client executives to identify key metrics and levers, translate strategic trade-offs into simulation dynamics, run pilot sessions, and present results to client audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and design simulation challenges and experiences that surface core strategic dynamics and trade-offs.
- Interview client executives and project teams to identify metrics, levers, and requirements for simulations.
- Process and present simulation results to audiences of 15–50 decision makers in virtual and face-to-face workshops.
- Own simulation concepts end-to-end, execute builds, run pilot sessions, and iterate to ensure desired learning outcomes.
- Support multiple projects across industries and collaborate with international offices; travel internationally for project milestones as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, science, math, economics, or related field.
- Strong business and financial acumen and intellectual horsepower.
- Curiosity, creativity, good listening skills, executive presence, and attention to detail.
- Structured problem-solving and strong conceptual thinking with the ability to translate concepts into executable solutions.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills for interviews and workshops.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with AI tools and vibe-coding.
- Ability to visualise data to tell a story to an audience.
- Experience with programming languages, game design, gamification, or digital content creation is a bonus.
- Willingness to travel internationally for projects.
Location & Working Pattern
- Preferred location: Sydney (or Melbourne office).
- Glue days: Mondays and Wednesdays in-office.
- Flexible working: up to 2 days per week working from home on average.
