Role
Lead Engineer for a MarTech Engineering & Orchestration POD responsible for architecting and building next-generation marketing technology. The role focuses on designing scalable, event-driven systems that process high volumes of customer interactions to enable real-time, personalized marketing and automated customer journeys, while incorporating AI-assisted development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and end-to-end ownership of engineering initiatives across marketing orchestration, real-time data processing, and customer activation pipelines.
- Architect scalable, event-driven distributed systems to power personalized marketing experiences and automated journeys.
- Design and implement orchestration workflows using Adobe Campaign or equivalent enterprise marketing tools.
- Build and optimize high-performance data applications and streaming pipelines using Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and Python.
- Implement cloud-native data pipelines and orchestration on Azure, including Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ingestion and transformations.
- Drive AI-assisted engineering practices, including Vibe Coding and generative AI development accelerators.
- Collaborate with product managers, marketing strategists, and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor and develop engineering team members, elevate coding standards, and champion operational excellence.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with enterprise marketing platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or Oracle Responsys.
- Strong proficiency in Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and Python for building high-volume data pipelines.
- Experience with Azure services, particularly Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Event Hubs, and cloud-native data engineering patterns.
- Advanced system design skills for event-driven architectures, stream processing, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI-augmented development tools and practices (e.g., Vibe Coding, GitHub Copilot) and generative AI accelerators.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD, observability, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale marketing ecosystems (ESP, CDP, personalization engines) and real-time decisioning platforms.
- Background in high-volume data processing for customer engagement or growth marketing use cases.
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines for personalization, audience segmentation, or content automation.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures such as data mesh and Lakehouse, and real-time analytics patterns.
