Role
S&P Global is seeking a Survey Research Analyst to support execution of primary market research projects with an emphasis on survey operations, data quality, and production of research deliverables. This individual contributor role partners with sales, project managers, internal SMEs, and external vendors to design, field, validate, and present high-quality survey-based research.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end survey projects: questionnaire design, programming, fielding, data validation, and deliverable production
- Support both custom research and syndicated programs
- Serve as a client-facing research partner on methodology, survey design, and progress calls
- Manage sample providers and external vendors to meet timelines, sampling plans, and quality standards
- Monitor fieldwork at key milestones (soft launch, midpoint, final) and recommend adjustments
- Produce and quality-check crosstabs and structured survey outputs
- Create PowerPoint decks, charts, and other presentation materials for clients
Survey & Research Operations
- Apply industry-standard research methodologies and data quality best practices
- Test and monitor survey instruments throughout fielding
- Identify and resolve data quality issues in coordination with stakeholders
- Maintain operational consistency across concurrent projects while adapting to client needs
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal SMEs to support analysis, storytelling, and presentation of findings
- Provide operational and data inputs that enable SME-led insights
- Coordinate effectively with sales, project managers, and external partners
Requirements
- BA in a related field (e.g., statistics, marketing, market research, social science)
- 3–5 years of experience in primary market research, survey research, consulting, or client-facing research roles
- Strong understanding of survey design, research methodology, sampling, fielding, and data quality assurance
- Experience managing multiple research projects and working with external vendors
- Strong Excel skills and experience producing structured survey outputs (e.g., crosstabs)
- Confident written and verbal communication skills; client-facing experience
- High survey/data literacy, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to qualitative research methods (in-depth interviews, EDBs)
- Experience supporting technology-focused research domains (AI, data centers, cloud, IoT)
- Familiarity with survey platforms and analytics/visualization tools
- Python or “vibe coding” experience, particularly when used with AI tools or for automation
- Interest and experience using AI-powered tools to improve research efficiency and content
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range (US): $83,313 to $103,226 (final pay based on location, experience, skills)
- Eligible for an annual incentive bonus
