System Platform Engineer KI (m/w/d)

Role

System Platform Engineer for R+V’s KI (AI) platform. Work in a Scrum team to specify, design, implement and operate scalable, stable AI/data platform components following DevOps principles (“You build it, you run it”).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and operate the KI platform across the full lifecycle from specification and design to implementation and production operation.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), including builds, tests, security scans and deployments.
• Build and troubleshoot containerized workloads (Docker) and manage integrations between cloud environments and corporate networks.
• Define and execute proofs of concept and prototypes; design and implement tailored solutions.
• Ensure scalability, stability and monitoring of platform components.
• Scout and adopt new technologies, methods and tools and actively share knowledge within the team.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and business units to deliver successful solutions.

Requirements

• Completed degree in a natural science, computer science or equivalent qualification.
• Interest in modern data and cloud technologies, especially Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory / Synapse pipelines and data ingestion (ETL/ELT).
• Experience creating and debugging Docker images; experience with Terraform and Python.
• Knowledge of Azure infrastructures and services (VNets, service/private endpoints, identity management, RBAC/ACL, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2) is an advantage.
• Experience with network integration of cloud environments into enterprise networks.
• Practical experience with coding agents (e.g., Claude Code or Codex) and solid understanding of AI-assisted coding and Vibe Engineering.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Fluent German (at least B2–C1).

• Full-time position (100%), permanent employment, internal office role classification.
