Job Description
Role
Talent Engineering is a small, elite team focused on recruiting with a first-principles and engineering mindset. The Talent Engineer designs systems to identify, engage, and attract the best people globally and executes full-cycle hiring for xAI.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop systems and processes to find and engage the absolute best candidates for any hiring need.
- Execute end-to-end hiring, including sourcing, outreach, evaluation, and closing candidates.
- Use referrals, events, competitions, online communities, and creative channels beyond LinkedIn to source talent.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and recruiting teams to scale hiring for technical and non-technical roles.
- Exercise strong judgment and an intuitive understanding of excellence across domains.
Requirements
- Believe assembling high-performance teams is an engineering problem.
- Strong communication skills and ability to concisely share knowledge with teammates.
- Comfortable with technical concepts and “vibe coding” to evaluate candidates; able to quickly grasp technical material.
- Past experience working at organizations with high talent density and contributing to recruiting efforts and referrals.
- Demonstrated technical creativity (personal projects, open-source contributions, or innovative hacks) is a plus.
- Hands-on, self-directed, and able to operate in a flat organization with high ownership.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $120,000 - $240,000 USD
