Role
Specialisterne USA is hiring a Technical Instructor for an 8-week, fully online Academy that prepares neurodivergent learners for entry-level IT roles (e.g., IT Technician, Help Desk Support). This is a temporary, part-time contract position (~10–15 hours/week) with a target start date of April 2026. Instructors must be legally authorized to work in the United States and available to teach during Eastern Time Zone hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete IBM SkillsBuild pathways to become familiar with curriculum (IT Fundamentals & AI Fundamentals).
- Provide technical instruction and ongoing support throughout the Academy.
- Guide learners and troubleshoot challenges during capstone projects.
- Review and provide feedback on final learner projects.
- Facilitate group instruction (up to 30 students) and 1-on-1 meetings.
Requirements
General skills and abilities
- Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible ways.
- Comfortable instructing groups and conducting 1-on-1 coaching.
- Experience in instruction, teaching, or training delivery preferred.
- Experience teaching or supporting neurodivergent individuals is preferred.
Digital / technical skills
- Familiarity with online communication and meeting platforms (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet).
- Familiarity with vibe coding / prototyping platforms (TeleportHQ).
Education and background
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, IT, Data Science, or related field is nice-to-have but not required.
- Background in IT, technical support, and/or AI fundamentals is desirable.
Compensation & Terms
- Temporary, part-time contract (approximately 10–15 hours/week).
- Estimated pay rate: $60–70 per hour.
- Target start date: April 2026.
