Role
Senior GCP Engineer (Technical Lead) responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This is a hands-on development role focused on modern data engineering practices and production-grade cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Work hands-on with BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics.
- Develop and manage relational workloads using AlloyDB.
- Build and maintain data transformation pipelines using DBT.
- Orchestrate workflows using Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow).
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and cloud workloads.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data modeling, transformation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, security, scalability, and reliability of GCP solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on development expertise.
- Strong foundation in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with BigQuery.
- Experience with AlloyDB and DBT.
- Experience with workflow orchestration using Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Must be a hands-on developer (no pure coordination roles).
- Exposure to vibe coding and modern development / clean code practices.
