Role
PayPal’s Developer Relations (DevRel) team is hiring a Technical Product & Program Manager to lead strategic, company-wide developer initiatives and programs that drive adoption and improve developer experience. The role requires translating developer feedback and research into product goals, roadmaps, and deliverables while balancing technical design, regulatory requirements, time-to-market, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared product vision.
- Implement and manage the architectural roadmap, balancing innovative design and technical implementation with regulatory and business constraints.
- Ensure customer experience and developer needs inform product requirements and decision-making.
- Monitor success metrics, including usability studies, research findings, and market analysis.
- Manage one or more workstreams covering analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to enable data-driven decisions.
- Monitor product profitability and budget considerations.
- Participate in operational governance such as Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews to drive execution and accountability.
- Interface with product and technology leadership as needed and partner with content developers, data scientists, product designers, and user researchers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Demonstrated experience in product strategy, program management, analytics-driven decision making, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to own workstreams, translate research into product requirements, and manage cross-functional execution.
Compensation
- The U.S. national annual pay range for this role: $205,020 - $245,940.
- Total compensation may include annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation), equity, and benefits.
Work Model
- Balanced hybrid work model: typically 3 days in the office and 2 days remote or office/home choice for the remaining days.
