Role
Technical Program Manager, Strategy Operations within Google’s Global Submarine Networks (GSN). Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to design, delivery, and operation of subsea backbone network infrastructure. Use technical expertise and data-driven approaches to drive program delivery, stakeholder alignment, and process standardization.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform complex datasets from subsea cable systems and landing stations into actionable insights and develop interactive Looker dashboards.
- Manage and track project build progress, focus on critical path identification and real-time monitoring of subsea infrastructure milestones.
- Use data to identify bottlenecks, propose mitigation plans, and lead stakeholder alignment sessions to de-risk projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather business requirements and translate technical data into visual narratives and executive reports.
- Establish and publish program metrics and success indicators, and assess/implement global standardization across processes, materials, and tooling.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in program management.
- Experience with data visualization using Python, Vibe Coding, Tableau, or Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects (2 years preferred).
- Program management experience within networking, including delivering infrastructure assets.
- Knowledge of fiber optic systems, submarine cable ecosystems, and EMEA/global carrier networks.
- Strong problem-solving and financial skills and comfort adopting data-driven investigative approaches.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
