Role
Base44 is hiring a Technical Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for an AI-powered platform that lets users build custom applications with natural language. The specialist will troubleshoot issues, educate users on vibe-coding techniques and best practices, and feed actionable feedback to Product and Development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate with minimal supervision and substantial discretion on significant matters.
- Assist users with product-related issues and provide timely, effective solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems using debugging tools and technical knowledge.
- Educate users on effective vibe-coding techniques and best-practice build approaches.
- Proactively communicate technical issues, trends, and suggested improvements to the team.
- Work cross-functionally with Development and Product to document issues, test features, and provide regular feedback.
- Participate in a shared rotation that may include occasional evenings and weekends for incidents, releases, and maintenance.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in technical support or solutions in a web environment, including owning complex investigations and escalations.
- Ability to read browser console and network tab for troubleshooting (e.g., JavaScript and React-related issues).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; fast learner and comfortable with unfamiliar tools and documentation.
- Ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives to completion in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize and explain complex topics.
Bonus Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on tinkering with “vibe coding” (side projects or experiments to show).
- Strong technical writing experience (specifications, runbooks, incident reports).
- Experience inspecting network requests, troubleshooting API connections/integrations, or system reliability engineering.
Logistics
- Hybrid role: expected to be in the Cedar Rapids office at least 3 days per week.
- Typical shift offered: 10:00am–7:00pm, Sunday–Thursday.
- Occasional evening and weekend work as part of a shared rotation; advance notice provided when possible.
