Role
Join EY’s Transaction Strategy and Transformation team to support AI-driven application modernization initiatives. The role centers on using AI and LLMs to review legacy applications for cyber risks, identify vulnerabilities, recommend mitigations, and translate technical findings into strategic outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate AI into application modernization projects.
- Use AI tools and LLMs to review legacy applications and identify cyber-attack risks and specific vulnerabilities.
- Recommend mitigation strategies and support value realization from modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and present technical solutions as strategic outcomes.
- Participate in client-facing engagements, workshops, and presentations.
- Manage small project teams (typically 2–3 resources) during delivery.
Requirements
- 1–5 years experience in a technology consulting practice delivering strategy and custom application development projects (includes co-op and internship experience).
- Strong technical background in computer science and business.
- Experience with AI-driven application development and modernization.
- Ability to analyze legacy systems for security vulnerabilities using AI.
- Experience managing small teams and delivering project outcomes.
- Strong communication and client presentation skills; strategic mindset focused on value delivery.
- Eligible for federal government security clearance.
- Technology experience with GitHub, GitHub CoPilot, Visual Studio Code, MCP Server setup/use, and working with Frontier LLMs (e.g., Sonnet, Opus, ChatGPT). Vibe coding experience with JavaScript and Java is called out.

- Joint degree in computer science and business.
- Multiple internships or hands-on application development experience.
- Prior client-facing experience supporting presentations.

Compensation
- Toronto: $64,000 to $96,000 (range disclosed per provincial pay transparency).
