Role
Trainee position in International Supply Chain (Data & Prototyping) focused on learning Lidl’s operations across stores, warehouses, country organizations and the international headquarters while driving improvements through data analysis and prototype development.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain operational insights across stores, warehouses, national organizations and the international HQ
- Identify and unlock data potential across the value chain to deliver direct business impact
- Analyze and continuously improve forecasting/prognosis models to raise supply chain quality
- Evaluate promotional and assortment measures for customer targeting and profitability
- Prepare and present findings to top management and international stakeholders
- Develop prototypes, including AI-assisted prototypes, to validate ideas
- Be available for regular national and international business travel
Requirements
- Completed degree in (business) mathematics, business informatics, data science or comparable field
- Initial experience in data analysis and data visualization
- Strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
- Experience with prototype development using AI-assisted programming (Vibe Coding, AI agents) is a plus
- Willingness to undertake regular national and international business trips
- Fluent English skills
