Role
The Distinguished Technical Program Manager, AI Enablement will define and drive Walmart’s enterprise AI strategy, operating at global scale to integrate intelligence into associate and customer experiences. This hybrid role blends technical design, product strategy, program leadership, and hands-on prototyping to accelerate AI adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and articulate an enterprise AI enablement strategy and roadmap, including advancing the “Squiggly super-agent” vision for unified associate experiences.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to prototype, validate, and scale AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Identify transformative opportunities, run experiments, and accelerate AI adoption through continuous improvement.
- Act as both strategist and practitioner: provide technical guidance, design solutions, and build prototypes using AI agents and vibe coding techniques.
- Influence stakeholders across business and technology teams and drive cross-functional programs across complex ecosystems.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
- Option 2: 9 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification and/or MBA (strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related).
- Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 AA) and accessibility best practices.
- Demonstrated track record leading AI-driven transformation at scale and hands-on experience with AI agents and vibe coding for prototyping.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $130,000 - $260,000 USD. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and equity (stock).
