Role
Senior individual contributor UI/UX Lead for Trailhead based in Hyderabad. You will own design execution for Slack, web, and native mobile (iOS and Android) surfaces, working hands-on in Figma and representing design in cross-functional settings. The role focuses on delivering high-quality interaction design, design system rigor, accessibility, and cross-platform consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design for Trailblazer Community Slack and web experiences, Trailhead Slack surfaces, and Trailhead GO mobile apps (iOS and Android).
- Partner with product managers and engineers from discovery through delivery to shape flows, interactions, and UI details.
- Translate complex requirements into simple, scalable experiences across platforms.
- Design within and across multiple design systems and platform guidelines (Slack patterns, iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design).
- Apply design system rigor to ensure consistency, accessibility, and reuse.
- Deliver interaction design with clear information hierarchy and appropriate motion.
- Represent and communicate design work through Figma files, async updates, documentation, and presentations.
- Use research and analytics to inform and validate design decisions.
- Explore and communicate ideas using AI-assisted or code-based prototyping tools to accelerate exploration and demonstrate feasibility.
Requirements
- 7+ years designing and shipping products across web and/or mobile.
- Proven ownership of end-to-end shipped experiences.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design system application at scale, thoughtful interaction design, cross-platform consistency, and native mobile design.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Comfortable creating interactive prototypes; familiarity with lightweight code-based prototyping is a plus.
- Motion design experience (After Effects or similar) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility, and platform-native behavior.
- Ability to work independently, present and defend design decisions, and collaborate effectively with PM, research, and engineering partners.
Ways of Working & Scope
- Operates as a senior individual contributor leading projects end-to-end (no direct people management in this role).
- Regularly syncs with US-based design partners while working with the local Hyderabad team.
- Focused on leading specific projects and surfaces rather than defining org-wide design strategy.
