Convert designs to responsive front-end code using AI design-to-code tools, maintain a design system and UI component library, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure accessible, consistent experiences.
Job Description
Role
The UX Design Engineer will sit within the Product Development department to design and implement seamless digital experiences for web and mobile. You will create user maps, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs; convert those designs into front-end code using AI design-to-code tools; and maintain the UI component library and design system in a GitHub repository.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine user maps and user flows in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Advocate for user needs and experience strategies across mobile and web platforms.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and communicate interaction requirements.
- Use AI-powered design-to-code platforms (e.g., Claude Code) to convert designs into clean, responsive front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular).
- Contribute to and maintain the UI component library and design system, manage code in GitHub.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to ensure accessible, consistent, high-quality digital experiences.
Requirements
- 4β6 years of experience as a UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio for mobile and web applications.
- 2β4 years of experience working specifically on design systems; proficiency in Figma.
- 1β2 years in a senior or lead role within a design system team.
- Practical knowledge of front-end technologies and experience with AI-powered design-to-code tools (e.g., Claude Code).
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0 / WCAG AA) and responsive design principles.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
