UX Designer

Role

Senior UX Designer on an AI-first IDE team building next-generation developer tools. You will design interactions, visuals, and high-fidelity prototypes for agent orchestration, debugging, and no-code workflows that shift developer work from writing code to prompting, reviewing, and correcting agent-generated work.

Team & Logistics

• Location: Bay Area, CA — Hybrid
• Employment type: 12-month contract (possibility of extension), W2
• Pay rate: $60/hr (W2) with benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prototype client user experiences for orchestrating, debugging, and supervising banks of agents working on complex software tasks.
• Explore and visualize future IDE interactions where primary workflows involve prompting and reviewing agent output.
• Create UX primitives and flows for a No-Code IDE that replace traditional code editors for non-technical users (vibe coding).
• Produce high-fidelity, interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and validate them with users and stakeholders.
• Work within and extend design systems to accommodate AI-driven paradigms.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, and product managers in a fast-paced environment with two-week sprints.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive UX design experience with a portfolio demonstrating work on complex applications, developer tools, or expert systems.
• Senior-level expertise in interaction design, visual design, and rapid prototyping.
• Demonstrated experience with design languages and systems.
• Specific experience designing for Android and within the Android Studio environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for developer tools and improving developer productivity.
• Experience designing AI-powered products, including conversational UIs and generative experiences.
• Ability to think strategically about product direction while executing pixel-perfect designs.
