Role
As an Interaction Designer on Google Ads (Customer Engagement), you will apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept through execution. You will create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, evolve Google’s design language, and design AI-enabled, agentic workflows that help advertisers and publishers complete high-velocity tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and create interfaces for agentic workflows that allow AI to handle high-velocity tasks.
- Partner with AI teams to design features that reduce user friction and increase task velocity.
- Work interactively with software engineers to expedite development of high-quality features.
- Engage directly with users to understand problems and validate design decisions.
- Collaborate with product teams to translate user needs into product and design choices.
- Apply user-centered design methods and contribute to evolving the Google design language.
- Embrace an AI-forward, “vibe coding” approach in design and prototyping workflows.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Include a portfolio, website, or other relevant link to work in your resume (provide viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in design, HCI, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
- 1 year of experience leading design projects.
