UX Designer, YouTube Music Integrations Verticals

Role

As an Interaction/UX Designer on the YouTube Music Integrations team, you will create user-centered experiences for music integrations on first-party and second-party devices (including automotive and wearable platforms). You will produce user flows, wireframes, visual specifications, and interactive prototypes while partnering with product and engineering to launch features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain YouTube Music integration features for first-party/second-party devices.
• Stay current with device ecosystems and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and launch new features and applications.
• Produce deliverables including mocks, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, visual specifications, and contributions to design systems.
• Manage design work across multiple projects and communicate priorities to the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
• Portfolio or work samples included with application (website or viewable link/access instructions).
• Strong prototyping skills and experience producing wireframes, user flows, and visual specifications.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for hardware devices, particularly automotive platforms (CarPlay, Android Auto) and wearables.
• Familiarity with device platforms, platform guidelines, and software development kits (SDKs).
• Excellent prototyping skills, especially using vibe coding and GenAI tools.
