YouTube (Google) is seeking an Interaction/UX Designer for the YouTube Music Integrations team to design and prototype user experiences across web, desktop, and partner hardware. The role involves translating product requirements and user insights into flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes that work across devices and partner platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and propose design solutions.
- Communicate user experiences at various stages using wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
- Advocate for design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements across integrations and platforms.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Include a portfolio, website, or other relevant work links with your application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for hardware devices (e.g., speakers) and familiarity with device platforms, guidelines, and SDKs.
- Experience designing for web and desktop experiences.
- Visual and design systems thinking.
- Excellent prototyping skills, including the ability to use vibe coding and GenAI tools for prototyping.
