Role
As a UX Engineering Manager on Google Search, you will lead a team of UX Engineers to define product strategy, envision UX ecosystems, and deliver high-fidelity prototypes and production front-end solutions. You will mentor team members, collaborate closely with UX designers, researchers, and engineering leaders, and help shape experiences used by billions of people.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of UX Engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions.
- Explore product concepts and identify directions that address human and business needs.
- Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
- Deliver engaging prototypes using current front-end technologies and drive production readiness.
- Advocate for design fidelity, craft, and brand across product work.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in iOS development in Swift, technical UX design, and prototyping.
- 3 years of experience managing people or teams.
- Experience with vibe coding tools, including AI Studio, Cursor, Antigravity, or Firebase Studio.
- Include a portfolio, website, or other relevant work samples with your application.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design environment.
- Familiarity working across full tech stacks and production environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Compensation & Location
- US base salary range: $178,000 - $265,000 (base only; additional bonus, equity, and benefits apply).
- Preferred working locations may include San Francisco, CA; Mountain View, CA; or New York, NY.
