Role
As a UX Engineering Manager on Google Search, you will lead a team of UX Engineers to define product strategy, envision complex UX ecosystems, and deliver engaging prototypes and front-end solutions that address human and business needs at scale. You will mentor team members, guide research and design processes, and collaborate closely with UX designers, researchers, and engineering leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of UX Engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions.
- Explore product concepts and identify promising directions that address human and business needs.
- Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
- Deliver engaging prototypes using modern front-end technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in iOS development in Swift, technical UX design, and prototyping.
- 3 years of experience managing people or teams.
- Experience with vibe coding tools, including AI Studio, Cursor, Antigravity, or Firebase Studio.
- Include a portfolio, website, or other work samples (viewable link or access instructions) with your resume.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design environment.
- Familiarity working across full tech stacks and production environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Location & Compensation
- Preferred work locations you may select: San Francisco, CA; Mountain View, CA; New York, NY (USA).
- US base salary range: $178,000 - $265,000 (base only). Compensation may include bonus, equity, and benefits; final pay depends on location, skills, experience, and other factors.
