Explicitly requires vibe coding skills; uses AI-powered prototyping tools (Cursor, Windsurf, Replit, Claude Code) for rapid, iterative prototypes that integrate with Figma.

About the Role

Join LIGER as a UX Researcher & Prototyper to lead user research and build rapid AI-powered prototypes that validate design direction for government-facing LLM tools. Collaborate closely in a product trio (PM, designer, engineering) to translate stakeholder input into actionable design and analytics-driven product decisions.

Job Description

Role

You’ll be the research and rapid prototyping arm of a product trio for LIGER, an AI platform that helps government analysts work with large language models. Own user research for LIGER 2.0 and build functional prototypes with AI-powered coding tools to validate concepts before committing design resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own user research and translate findings into actionable design direction
  • Build rapid prototypes using Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or Replit that feed into Figma
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, run baseline surveys, and synthesize feedback to prioritize features
  • Create and maintain user personas, journey maps, and opportunity frameworks
  • Coordinate user testing at release milestones and feed findings back into the product cycle
  • Own product analytics and usage dashboards to validate design decisions with data
  • Work directly with the PM, designer, and engineering team in fast, iterative cycles

Requirements

  • 2+ years of UX research experience, or a strong portfolio demonstrating research and prototyping work
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one AI-powered coding/prototyping tool (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Replit, or similar)
  • Experience with user interviews, usability testing, and survey design
  • Ability to translate research findings into tangible prototypes, not just presentations or decks
  • Strong communication skills; able to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders without heavy ceremony
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration in environments where requirements evolve

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with continuous discovery practices (Teresa Torres framework or similar)
  • Background in analytics tools and product metrics
  • Experience working in a product trio model
  • Familiarity with Figma and design systems
  • Experience with government or enterprise users

Work Arrangement

  • 100% remote role with quarterly travel for in-person team planning and collaboration events.
