Role
You will build and maintain internal AI tools and automations used across a lab-grown diamond and jewelry group, turning loosely defined problems into working systems quickly. The role emphasizes rapid, maintainable shipping with AI-assisted development and clear Markdown handoffs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain internal AI tools for data analysis, reporting, customer-service assists, and ops workflows.
- Design and ship connectors and integrations across the stack (Shopify, Supabase, Vercel, Google Workspace, vendor APIs/FTP feeds, MCP-style integrations).
- Maintain and extend existing systems such as data sync pipelines and internal dashboards without breaking production.
- Iterate quickly using AI tools (Claude, Cursor), validate outputs, and prioritize practical delivery over long planning cycles.
- Produce clear handoff documentation in Markdown: setup steps, architecture notes, and runbooks.
Requirements
- Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, or similar) and judgement about when to trust vs. verify AI outputs.
- Comfortable coding in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python and working with REST APIs.
- Experience building connectors and integrations, including auth, rate limits, retries, error handling, and secrets management.
- Familiarity with Supabase/Postgres, Vercel serverless, GitHub, Shopify, and webhook/API-driven workflows.
- Strong written communication and ability to produce clear Markdown specs and handoff docs.
- Bias toward shipping: prefer delivering a working iteration and refining it.
Nice to Have
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers/connectors.
- Background in e-commerce, data pipelines, or large product/inventory datasets.
- Experience with prompt engineering and building AI agents.
