Role
Vibe Coding Instructor teaching K-12 students in after-school programs, weekend workshops, and camps. Instructors lead weekly classes on coding and AI-agent topics, guide students through hands-on projects and presentations, and run trial classes to attract prospective students. Opportunity to take on greater responsibility over time, including independent projects and curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach students of all ages (K-12) in small cohorts (approx. 1:4 ratio when possible)
- Lead weekly classes covering subjects and techniques related to AI agents
- Mentor students to create coding projects and presentations
- Run trial classes to inspire and recruit new students
- Grow into additional responsibilities such as independent projects and curriculum development
Requirements
- Experience with Chatgpt Codex, Claude, DeepSeek technologies
- Interest in learning new programming languages and tools (e.g., Python, Minecraft MakeCode, Scratch, App Inventor, Unity, Roblox)
- At least one afternoon/evening available per week
- Comfortable and patient working with kids of all ages; demonstrates humility and a passion for education
Preferred Experience
- Understanding of game mechanics and game development
- Web development experience
Compensation & Logistics
- Hourly pay advertised in posting: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (posting also references $20-23/hr based on experience/performance)
- Part-time or internship roles available
- Work location: In person (multiple sites in California; online programs expanding)
