Visual Designer - Remote

Role

Visual Designer (Independent Contractor, Remote). Contribute to and shape how AI understands and simulates multimodal design workflows across mediums, producing high-quality digital and immersive visual designs and experimental design processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work 10–20 hours per week (with potential for increased hours based on performance).
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of designers.
• Craft, critique, and review experimental design workflows that use frontier AI models.
• Experiment with multimodal design approaches and provide design feedback and iteration.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience in graphic or UI design.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Strong background creating high-quality digital or immersive visual designs (websites/apps, brand/marketing assets, new media).
• Exposure to LLMs, GenAI prompting, and vibe coding.
• Proficiency with creative coding tools such as HTML/CSS, Processing, and three.js.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Interview Process

• Short AI interview about your creative process.
• Short portfolio review and a writing assessment.

Contract & Payment Terms

• Engagement as an independent contractor (fully remote, flexible schedule).
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• No access to confidential or proprietary information from employers, clients, or institutions is required.
• Payments are made weekly via Stripe or Wise.

Timeline

• Role begins in late December; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
