Visual Designer - Remote

Role

We are seeking a Visual Designer to critique, experiment with, and shape how AI understands and simulates multi-modal design workflows across mediums. This is a contract, fully remote role starting in late December and initially scoped at 10–20 hours per week with potential for increased hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Work asynchronously with a team of designers across disciplines to craft, critique, and review experimental design workflows using frontier AI models.
• Produce high-quality digital and immersive visual designs (websites/apps, brand and marketing assets, advanced new media) with unique aesthetics.
• Experiment with LLMs, GenAI prompting, and vibe coding to prototype multimodal design processes.
• Participate in portfolio reviews and written assessments as part of the evaluation process.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience in graphic or UI design.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital or immersive visual design work.
• Exposure to LLMs, generative AI prompting, and vibe coding.
• Proficiency with creative coding tools such as HTML/CSS, Processing, and three.js.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Engagement Details

• Engagement type: Independent contractor.
• Schedule: 10–20 hours per week (part-time or full-time contract), flexible scheduling; projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on needs and performance.
• Start date: Late December; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
• Payments: Weekly via Stripe or Wise.

Interview Process

• Short AI interview focused on creative process.
• Followed by a short portfolio review and a writing assessment.
