Role
W3 Professorship (Full Professor) “Programmiersprachen und -techniken” at Technische Universität Chemnitz. The appointed candidate will conduct internationally visible research and deliver core Bachelor and Master courses in programming languages and techniques at the faculty.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct high-quality research in programming languages and related techniques.
- Deliver teaching at Bachelor and Master levels in German and English.
- Supervise and mentor doctoral and junior researchers.
- Acquire third-party funding and maintain an active publication and presentation profile.
- Engage in technology transfer and public outreach activities.
- Participate in academic self-administration and faculty responsibilities.
Requirements
- Outstanding research achievements in programming languages and techniques at national and international level.
- Proven ability and willingness to acquire third-party funding, strong publication record, and experience fostering early-career researchers.
- Teaching experience and readiness to teach in both German and English.
- Willingness to take on transfer activities and academic administrative duties.
- Formal qualification according to § 59 SächsHSG: successful junior professorship, habilitation, or equivalent scientific achievements.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications
- International experience in research, teaching, and/or transfer.
- Documented teaching qualifications and use of new teaching and learning methods.
- Engagement in continuing education and public relations.
