Job Description
Role
TCS is recruiting engineers for an Agentic AI role focused on designing and building agentic workflows and agent frameworks that use LLMs, tooling/function-calling, state and memory management, and orchestration patterns (single- and multi-agent). The role covers end-to-end work from RAG grounding and MCP integrations to observability, responsible-AI guardrails, and platform deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement agentic workflows using LLMs: tool/function calling, state management, memory, and orchestration.
- Build and operate agent frameworks and routing/workflow/coordination patterns (single-agent and multi-agent).
- Integrate tools and contextual data into agent workflows via Model Context Protocol (MCP) and enable tool discovery/usage.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and grounding strategies for enterprise knowledge sources (repos, wikis, ticketing, content stores).
- Implement agent observability and monitoring (AgentOps): track behavior, tool calls, outcomes, quality signals, alerts, traces, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Deploy and scale agentic systems with cloud/platform engineering practices (containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD), performance tuning, and secure operations.
- Design Responsible AI guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, secure tool access, and policies for credentials/data/budget handling.
Requirements
- 4 - 15 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Information Technology.
- Strong understanding of agentic AI fundamentals: goal definition, planning, reasoning, task decomposition, and autonomous action loops.
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks and patterns (e.g., LangChain-based frameworks or equivalents), including routing, workflows, and agent coordination.
- Proficiency with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for integrating tools and contextual data into agent workflows.
- Experience building RAG pipelines and grounding strategies for enterprise knowledge sources.
- Experience with agent observability/monitoring and implementing feedback loops and alerts.
- Cloud/platform engineering exposure for deploying systems at scale: containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, performance tuning, and secure operations.
- Programming proficiency in Python, .Net, or Java and familiarity with relevant ML libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
