Role
As a Werkstudent AI Engineering you will support the engineering team in building and integrating AI-driven features into the company’s MySOMI platform. The position involves hands-on work on backend services, data structures, data pipelines, AI-model integration, automations and prototyping.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of AI-enabled functions for the MySOMI platform
- Integrate AI models and AI APIs into existing backend services
- Contribute to backend service and API development
- Help build and maintain data structures and data pipelines
- Develop automations, AI workflows and prototypes
- Analyze and improve existing features and assist with technical testing
- Document development processes and technical solutions
Requirements
- Completed bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence) or comparable technical study program
- Currently enrolled in a master’s or further study program
- Initial practical experience with programming and backend development
- Interest in AI technologies, machine learning or large language models
- Basic experience with APIs and databases (e.g., MySQL)
- Ideally first contact with DevOps topics or AI tools
- Experience with AI-assisted development / vibe coding is a plus
- Structured working style, willingness to learn and enjoyment of technical challenges
