Job Description
Role
A paid working student position on the Signavio Lab Space AI Engineering team. You will work with a senior software engineering team to build and validate AI-powered prototypes and improve the customer-facing Signavio Lab Space environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to full-stack development work for Signavio Lab Space using TypeScript/React on the front end and a backend language (Python or Node.js).
- Integrate AI APIs and apply prompt engineering to prototype and validate AI-powered ideas.
- Debug, test, and defend non-trivial code you have written; collaborate via Git/GitHub.
- Work autonomously, learn quickly, and support rapid experimentation and iteration.
Requirements
- Proficiency with TypeScript and React.
- Experience with a backend language such as Python or Node.js.
- Experience with Git and GitHub, and effective debugging skills.
- Minimum of 3000 hours of hands-on software development experience; ability to share GitHub profile and demonstrate personal code during interviews.
- Clear and fluent English communication skills.
- Experience with prompt engineering and integrating AI APIs.
- Self-starter who can work autonomously and learn quickly.
- Candidates must not have had a >6 month coding gap and must have an active GitHub profile.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with vibe coding and AI-powered engineering workflows.
- Experience with code reviews and GitHub collaboration practices.
- German language skills (written and spoken).
