Role
Working Student - Operations Analyst supporting the Strategy & Programmes team on strategic logistics network workstreams. The role focuses on data preparation, model and scenario support, documentation and governance, dashboarding and automation, and preparing presentations for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, clean, organize and validate data related to assortment, capacity, lead times and demand.
- Create and verify inputs and assumptions for the strategic network model (SNP).
- Assist with setting up and running scenarios (status quo, target network, sensitivity analyses) and update modelling parameters (assortment ranges, FC specifications, contract constraints).
- Build dashboards and visualizations to monitor data quality, inputs and outputs; develop prototype analytics for KPIs (CPP, lead time, capacity).
- Automate repeatable data tasks using Python or Power Query and set up validation checks for consistent inputs.
- Document assumptions, model logic and governance; develop Wiki pages, process descriptions and onboarding materials.
- Prepare slide decks and visual outputs for internal audiences (OLT, SNP Sync, SteerCo) and present findings clearly.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled student with at least 6 months remaining in a relevant degree (Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics or similar).
- Strong analytical abilities, structured and reliable working style, effective communication skills and eagerness to learn about strategic logistics and OR-based modelling.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with Python, SQL, Tableau or Power BI is highly advantageous.
- First experiences with Vibe Coding noted.
- Proficiency in English.
- Availability for ~20 hours per week for a 6-month period.
Location & Hours
- Headquartered in Munich with offices across Madrid, Krakow, Wroclaw, London and Vienna.
- Hybrid working model: expected ~60% time in office, ~40% remote. Option to work up to 20 days abroad in approved countries.
- Part-time: ~20 hours/week for 6 months.
