A hosted MCP server that provides structured intelligence about GitHub repositories, including repository overviews, recent pull requests, contributors, hot files, CI status, and dependencies. It is read-only and uses the GitHub REST API through a single streamable HTTP MCP endpoint.
From the registry: Repo intel for AI coding agents: overview, PRs, contributors, hot files, CI, deps. Remote MCP.
Please install the `github-repo-intel-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Apify token** — Create or obtain an Apify token for authenticating to the hosted MCP endpoint. The server requires this token in the Authorization header as a Bearer token.
Canonical MCP server config (HTTP transport):
- url: `https://cg-nguyen--github-repo-intel-mcp.apify.actor/mcp`
- headers:
- `Authorization`: `Bearer <your-apify-token>`
Note: Hosted Streamable-HTTP MCP server on Apify. No local installation or runtime setup is required. The README mentions an optional GitHub personal access token, but it is passed as a tool argument (github_token) rather than MCP server config, so it is not included in the canonical MCP config.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.Connect AI assistants to GitHub - manage repos, issues, PRs, and workflows through natural language.
