$ uv --versionhttps://docs.astral.sh/uv/Please install the `indie-founder-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install uv** — Install Astral's uv tool so you can run the server via uvx from the Git repository. Run: `uv --version` (https://docs.astral.sh/uv/)
- **Create provider API tokens** — Create API credentials for the revenue providers you want to connect. Lemon Squeezy is effectively required for the default setup example; Gumroad, Polar, and Stripe are optional and enable their respective adapters when set. (https://app.lemonsqueezy.com/settings/api)
Optional prerequisites:
- Obtain a paid-tier license key (optional) — Only needed if you want to use paid tools like top_customers, refund_signal, and export_csv_for_tax. (https://charliemorrison.lemonsqueezy.com)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `uvx`
- args: ["--from","git+https://github.com/charlie-morrison/indie-founder-mcp@main","indie-founder-mcp"]
- required environment variables:
- `LS_API_TOKEN`: Lemon Squeezy API token used to connect the Lemon Squeezy adapter. Practically required for the default configuration shown in the README. (example: `<your-lemon-squeezy-api-token>`)
- optional environment variables:
- `LS_STORE_ID`: Optional Lemon Squeezy store ID filter. (example: `<your-lemon-squeezy-store-id>`)
- `GUMROAD_ACCESS_TOKEN`: Gumroad access token. Enables the Gumroad adapter when set. (example: `<your-gumroad-access-token>`)
- `POLAR_API_TOKEN`: Polar API token. Enables the Polar adapter when set. (example: `<your-polar-api-token>`)
- `STRIPE_API_KEY`: Stripe secret API key. Enables the Stripe adapter when set. (example: `<your-stripe-api-key>`)
- `INDIE_FOUNDER_MCP_LICENSE_KEY`: License key for paid-tier tools. Not needed for free tools. (example: `<your-license-key>`)
Note: Preferred install path is uvx from the Git repository; the README also shows a local clone install, but uvx is the simpler portable option. The server runs over stdio.
