Prerequisites

Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Get a DART API key** — Register for a free DART OpenAPI key, which is required for disclosure and financial statement tools. (https://opendart.fss.or.kr/)
- **Install uv** — Install uv so you can run the server with uvx, which is the recommended one-line install path. (https://docs.astral.sh/uv/)

Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `uvx`
- args: ["korea-stock-insight-mcp"]
- required environment variables:
  - `DART_API_KEY`: DART OpenAPI key used to access Korean disclosure and financial statement data. (example: `<your-dart-api-key>`)

Note: The README also provides an alternative stdio launch path using pipx: command `pipx`, args `["run", "korea-stock-insight-mcp"]`. The recommended portable path is `uvx korea-stock-insight-mcp`. Stock quote data uses yfinance and does not require an additional API key.

Resolves a Korean company name or 6-digit ticker to a DART corp_code.

get_disclosure_list

Fetches recent DART filings with date, title, type, and receipt number.

get_disclosure

Returns filing metadata and the canonical viewer URL.

get_financial_statement

Fetches full XBRL financial statements, including consolidated/separate and quarterly/annual reports.

get_stock_quote

Fetches daily OHLCV price data for KOSPI/KOSDAQ stocks via yfinance.

Environment variables
